According to a survey of app users, 53.7% of those who have experienced package tours said they traveled with their families. They cited ‘convenience of not having to schedule (25.8%)’ as the advantage of package travel. The ‘guide to solve language problems (14.8%)’ and ‘a comfortable trip to unfamiliar travel destinations (14.8%)’ also rose as strengths.

All respondents chose “a vacation trip (24.7%) to visit resorts and pool villas” as their preferred form of the most packaged trip. 38.5% of those who have actually experienced package tours have been to Southeast Asia, a common resort destination such as the Philippines and Thailand, and their preference for vacation package tours was similar to the actual travel trend.
Package tours accounted for 30.9% of the five-day trip and 30.0% of the four-day trip. 9.6% of the respondents who went for more than 9 nights and 10 days and 9.2% for 2 nights and 3 days, respectively.
“Package travel has a high demand for family travelers due to the low uncertainty at the destination,” said Kim Yong-kyung, head of the brand office. “We prefer package products that mix tourism and recreation schedules in moderation.”
