As the summer vacations approach, we invite you to (re)discover the school vacation calendar for 2025-2026. After eight long weeks of vacation, all students will return to school on Monday, September 1, 2025. They will then be able to take advantage of a new vacation, the All Saints’ Day, starting on October 18.

When will the new school year start ? When are the All Saints’ and Christmas vacations scheduled? Find out now about the school vacation schedule for 2025-2026, as published in the Journal Officiel.

After an eight-week summer break, all students will return to school on Monday, September 1, 2025. The All Saints’ vacation in 2025 will start for all students on October 18, while the Christmas holiday will begin on December 20. What about the 2026 winter vacations? Zone A students will be the first to go, followed by those in Zone B and finally those in Zone C. Spring vacation will run from April 4 to May 4, 2026. Finally, the 2026 summer vacations are scheduled to start on July 4.

  • Start of the school year: Monday, September 1, 2025

  • All Saints’ vacation: Saturday, October 18, 2025 to Monday, November 3, 2025

  • Christmas vacation: Saturday, December 20, 2025 to Monday, January 5, 2026

  • Winter vacations:

    • Zone A: From Saturday February 7, 2026 to Monday February 23, 2026

    • Zone B: From Saturday February 14, 2026 to Monday March 2, 2026

    • Zone C: From Saturday, February 21, 2026 to Monday, March 9, 2026

  • Spring vacation:

    • Zone A: From Saturday April 4, 2026 to Monday April 20, 2026

    • Zone B: From Saturday April 11, 2026 to Monday April 27, 2026

    • Zone C: From Saturday April 18, 2026 to Monday May 4, 2026

  • Summer vacation: Saturday, July 4, 2026

Vacations start on the days indicated, after school. For students who do not have classes on Saturdays, vacations begin on Fridays after school. Classes resume on the mornings of the days indicated.

The three zones A, B and C are recalled:

  • Zone A: the academies of Besançon, Bordeaux, Clermont-Ferrand, Dijon, Grenoble, Limoges, Lyon, Poitiers.

  • Zone B: Aix-Marseille, Amiens, Caen, Lille, Nancy-Metz, Nantes, Nice, Orléans-Tours, Reims, Rennes, Rouen, Strasbourg.

  • Zone C: Créteil, Montpellier, Paris, Toulouse, Versailles.

As for bridges and public holidays in the 2025-2026 school year, the month of November will not be as beneficial as in 2024, since November 1 falls on a Saturday. On the other hand, the lucky ones will be able to take advantage of the November 11th bridge, which falls on a Tuesday this year. In May 2026, many will be smiling, as May 1 and May 8 will provide a three-day weekend!
