The Bewdley attraction picked up one gold, one silver and two bronze awards on Thursday, September 18.

The event, which took place at Wicksteed Park, celebrated exceptional contributions in the UK’s theme park industry across 22 categories.

The safari park was awarded gold for Best New Entertainment for its Tumbling Tigers Trampoline show, which was part of the Tiger Takeover celebrations in May.

The park also took home a silver award for the second year in a row for Best Theme Park with Animals.

In addition, the park was awarded bronze in the Best New Accessibility Initiative category for its accessible minibus guided tours and a second bronze in the Best New Food Outlet category for Nuii Hippo Creek.

Managing director Joanne Hammick said: “Winning four UK Theme Park Awards is an incredible honour and a true testament to the passion, dedication and hard work of our entire team.

“Every day they go above and beyond to deliver unforgettable experiences for our guests, and this recognition is a reflection of their commitment.”

The awards are organised by ThemeParks-UK.com and invite the public to nominate their favourite tourist attractions for the 22 different categories.

A shortlist is then created for public votes, of which there were 334,371 this year.

These are combined with votes from a panel of expert judges, from which finalists are chosen for bronze, silver and gold awards.

West Midlands Safari Park’s attractions include a safari drive-through experience.

Visitors can explore the park from the comfort of their own car, driving through extensive enclosures that house animals in environments that closely mimic their natural habitats.

From lions to tigers, giraffes to rhinos, guests get to see these majestic animals roaming freely, a rare experience compared to traditional zoos.
