Air Serbia handled 476.435 passengers in June, representing an increase of 8.5% on the same month last year or an extra 37.384 travellers. The number of operated flights stood at 4.669, up 4.5%. During the first half of the year, the Serbian flag carrier welcomed close to two million travellers, up 7% on 2024.

Speaking to public broadcaster RTS yesterday, Air Serbia’s General Manager Commercial and Strategy, Boško Rupić, said, “The plans we set for this year are, based on current indicators, developing exactly as envisioned and intended. This year, we’ve also introduced new destinations, which is further contributing to passenger growth. Overall, the first half of the year is something we can definitely be satisfied with across several key parameters – whether it’s cabin load factor, expanded fare options, the number of operated flights, or the volume of passengers carried”. He added, “We are currently seeing around 7% growth for the first half of the year. Booking trends for the upcoming period support our projection of reaching approximately 4.7 million passengers, which is significantly higher than the figures once achieved by the former JAT in a country of 23-24 million people. That is definitely something we can be proud of today”.
