The Guangzhou-Zhanjiang High-Speed Railway officially opens to traffic on December 22. The line reduces the fastest travel time between Guangzhou and Zhanjiang to approximately 1 hour and 32 minutes, reducing it by more than an hour. The new connection enhances transportation efficiency between western Guangdong and the Greater Bay Area, supporting deeper regional integration. 

The railway connects key cities including Guangzhou, Foshan, Zhaoqing, Yunfu, Yangjiang, Maoming, and Zhanjiang in Guangdong Province. Incorporating local cultural elements, each station reflects regional characteristics through unique designs aimed at becoming new landmarks in western Guangdong.
