LAHORE: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi announced on Sunday that professional beggars and people with incomplete travel documents will be prohibited from leaving the country, a move aimed at damaging the nation’s reputation abroad.

The minister declared that stringent measures would be taken against those who bring a bad name to Pakistan, while speaking to passengers at Allama Iqbal International Airport.

He was accompanied by Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry during the official visit.

Naqvi also provided reassurance, clarifying that no passenger would be stopped from travelling without a valid reason. He emphasized that upholding the dignity of Pakistan and ensuring the facilitation of travellers are his foremost priorities.

During their tour of the facility, both ministers inspected the immigration counters and reviewed the established departure process for outbound passengers.
