The Karachi Traffic Police has announced a temporary suspension of traffic on the Murghi Khana Flyover (N-5) at the Qaidabad Interchange due to girder launching work for the Malir Expressway (Shaheed Benazir Bhutto) project.

According to the traffic police, for public and traffic safety, traffic on the Murghi Khana Flyover (N-5) will remain completely closed in both directions from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm on January 3 and January 4, 2026.

During this period, vehicles coming from the Steel Mill side will be diverted onto the Malir Expressway via Ramp A and will rejoin N-5 through Ramp D.

For traffic traveling from the airport toward the Steel Mill, a temporary alternative route is being developed through the riverbed, starting from Anwar Baloch Hotel up to the end of the Murghi Khana Flyover, which will be used during the closure.

The Karachi Traffic Police has urged citizens to use the designated alternative routes during the specified dates and timings and to cooperate with traffic personnel to avoid inconvenience.
