Saga Holidays is expanding its nationwide return chauffeur service to include bookings made for hotel stays.

The home pick up and return is included as standard in cruise and escorted tour holidays.

The service is being extended from April 1, 2026 to holidaymakers taking Saga’s hotel stay trips alongside travel insurance and additional cancellation cover, return flights, meals and drinks as specified and the services of a Saga host for the duration of the trip.

The over-50s specialist is also updating its fleet with 94 new hybrid Ford Tourneo Custom V710 Titanium vehicles before the end of 2025.

The investment aligns with and supports wider ESG ambitions, according to the operator.

The chauffeur service sees customers collected from their home address and transferred to their UK departure point and returned home again at the end of their holiday.

Saga’s hotel stay holidays feature a collection of specially selected properties across Europe.

While customers travel independently, they are supported throughout their stay by a dedicated Saga host to organise activities, offer local insights and excursions.

Saga Travel chief executive Nigel Blanks said: “Our nationwide return shared chauffeur service is one of our most loved and popular customer inclusions and differentiates us from other holiday providers.

“Customers regularly tell us how pleased they are that we ensure their holiday gets off to the perfect start with the hassle and inconvenience of getting to their airport taken care of – right down to having their luggage loaded on to the vehicle.

“Our trained drivers are friendly and courteous, and committed to ensuring customers have a hassle free start to their holiday – and an easy journey when the time comes to return home again

“We’re delighted to be expanding this exclusive service to our hotel stays customers from April next year, meaning even more of our guests can enjoy door-to-door transfers that ensures their holiday begins and ends in the best possible way.

“Alongside offering great value, we’re determined to maintain the high standard of service that our customers expect by investing in nearly 100 new vehicles this year – powered by hybrid technology – to ensure their journeys are comfortable.”
