The Margaritaville at Sea Paradise is currently in drydock at the Grand Bahama Shipyard in Freeport, the Bahamas.

The 1991-built ship arrived at the facility earlier this month for a project that includes scheduled maintenance as well as updates to its public areas.

As previously reported by Cruise Industry News, the vessel will get a new self-service restaurant, the High Tide Market, to replace its traditional buffet.

According to Margaritaville at Sea, the food-hall-inspired experience will offer “more choices, energy and a modern approach to dining.”

After debuting on the vessel, the venue will open onboard the Margaritaville at Sea Beachcomber, which is set to enter service for the brand in 2027.

As part of its drydock, the Paradise is also expected to undergo overall upkeep work in public areas and staterooms, as well as routine maintenance and statutory work.

The 1,300-passenger ship will resume service on January 20, 2026, kicking off a series of new short cruises to the Bahamas and Florida departing from its homeport in Palm Beach.

Switching to a new weekday four-night and weekend three-night itinerary basis, the Paradise will sail to Key West, Freeport and Nassau.

For its first itinerary after the drydock, the 53,000-ton ship offers a three-night cruise to Nassau that also features a day at sea.

Originally built for Costa Cruises in the early 1990s, the former Costa Classica became the first ship to join Margaritaville at Sea’s fleet in early 2022.

Then operated by Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line, the vessel underwent a major upgrade before launching a series of short cruises from Palm Beach to the Bahamas for the Jimmy Buffett-inspired brand.

Now getting ready to add the former Costa Fortuna to its fleet in 2027, the company also operates the Margaritaville at Sea Islander from Tampa.
