The Celebrity Solstice is now in drydock in Singapore to undergo a major upgrade and modernization project.
Having completed an open-jaw cruise from Hong Kong, the Celebrity Cruises vessel arrived at the shipyard in Southeast Asia on January 16, 2026.
The 2008-built ship is now undergoing a 45-day drydock as part of a $250-million refit program that will also see other Solstice-class vessels entering drydock over the next few years.
During the refit, the Celebrity Solstice will undergo a series of updates to its public areas and features, with the debut of new restaurants, entertainment options and additional cabin categories.
All staterooms onboard are also set to be upgraded, while extra cabins will be added to various areas of the 2,850-passenger vessel.
Among the new features being introduced is the Boulevard Lounge and Bar, which will offer a series of entertainment activities, including game shows, candlelit concerts and dueling piano shows.
The Solstice will also get Trattoria Rossa, a new Italian-inspired specialty restaurant that will replace Qsine at Silk Harvest.
Other highlights of the refurbishment include the debut of Sunset Park, a new outdoor venue that will offer lawn games and open-air concerts.
Celebrity’s suite enclave, The Retreat, is also being completely reimagined with a new sun deck, a redesigned private lounge and more.
The company also said that all staterooms onboard the ship will be upgraded, while AquaClass cabins will undergo comprehensive updates, including spa-inspired elements.
The Celebrity Solstice is scheduled to welcome guests back onboard on March 2, 2026, for a 12-night cruise to Hong Kong.
Sailing from Singapore, the open-jaw itinerary features visits to destinations in Thailand and Vietnam, such as Ho Chi Minh City and Laem Chabang.
The 122,000-ton vessel offers additional cruises in Asia and the Pacific before repositioning to Alaska for a summer season.
