DELHI- Tata Group-owned Air India (AI) has introduced a refreshed inflight beverage collection on international routes, reinforcing its premium service push. The update applies across long-haul services operating from hubs including New Delhi (DEL), Mumbai (BOM), London Heathrow (LHR), New York JFK (JFK), and Singapore (SIN).
The new beverage menu combines globally recognised wines, rare spirits, and Indian labels, supported by trained cabin crew and structured food pairings. The offering is available on international flights operated primarily by widebody aircraft, including the newly inducted Boeing 787-9.

The refreshed beverage program is designed to improve consistency, quality, and choice at cruising altitude. Air India has curated a mix of classic old-world wines, contemporary new-world labels, and aged spirits that perform well in an inflight environment.
A central feature of the update is the Regional Wine Programme. This initiative introduces wines linked to the destination being served, allowing passengers to experience regional profiles while en route.
Cabin crew have undergone focused training to provide informed guidance and personalised recommendations.
Category-first spirits and Indian representation
Air India has become the first Indian airline to serve tequila onboard, introducing 1800 Reserva Añejo from Mexico. This addition expands the airline’s premium spirits portfolio and reflects evolving global consumption trends.
The spirits selection also includes Rampur Double Cask Indian single malt, highlighting Indian craftsmanship alongside established international brands. This balance supports the airline’s intent to represent India while meeting global passenger expectations.

First Class beverage offering
First Class passengers receive access to an exclusive beverage selection reserved for the flagship cabin.
The lineup includes Aberfeldy 21 Year Old Single Malt from Scotland, Hennessy VSOP Cognac, Charles Heidsieck Blanc de Blancs Champagne, Pian della Vigne Brunello di Montalcino by Marchesi Antinori, and classic Burgundy Chardonnay.
The portfolio is designed to align with the privacy, pacing, and personalised service standards of First Class travel.
Business Class global selection
Business Class features an expanded wine and spirits menu with strong regional diversity. Labels include Roku Gin from Japan, Charles Heidsieck Brut Champagne, Bottega Gold Prosecco, Albert Bichot Moulin-à-Vent, Château Teyssier Saint-Émilion Grand Cru, and Birra Moretti beer from Italy.
The focus remains on balance, familiarity, and quality across long-haul international sectors.

Premium Economy introduces a sparkling welcome
Premium Economy passengers now receive a sparkling wine welcome shortly after take-off. Villa Sandi Il Fresco Prosecco marks the first time this cabin has been offered a dedicated celebratory beverage service.
This change reinforces Premium Economy as a distinct product with defined service elements.
Economy Class curated for broad appeal
Economy Class passengers can choose from a well-rounded beverage list that prioritises recognisable global brands.
The selection includes Bordeaux red and white wines, Dewar’s Blended Scotch, Bombay Sapphire Gin from England, Absolut Vodka from Sweden, Caribbean rum, Heineken beer from the Netherlands, and Kingfisher Ultra from India.
The lineup is designed to offer consistency and accessibility across diverse international markets.

Food and wine pairing at altitude
To support the refreshed beverage menu, Air India has introduced a structured food and wine pairing guide. Each wine has been selected for balance and compatibility with the international menu.
Highlights include Napa Valley Chardonnay paired with chicken roulade, German Riesling matched with Seoul-style flame-grilled prawns, and red wines such as Merlot, Shiraz, Pinot Noir, and Sangiovese paired with dishes including Nawabi Paneer, Gucchi Kofta, Murgh Musallam, and chicken bolognese lasagne.

Part of Air India’s wider transformation
The refreshed beverage collection forms part of Air India’s broader transformation strategy. It complements recent milestones such as the induction of the Boeing 787-9 and the rollout of a redesigned international menu.
The new beverage program is being implemented across international widebody services, with rollout effective immediately on eligible routes.
