A Dream Come True for Mohammed and His Family
For Mohammed Kamara, who lives with Level 3 Severe Autism, a long-awaited dream became a reality this week as he embarked on a “Magical Dream” trip to the Central Florida Theme Parks, courtesy of the Sunshine Foundation.
Mohammed’s trip marks a momentous occasion for his family, who had never before experienced a vacation.
“Thank you for giving our family this dream. We had never been on a trip before, and seeing Mohammed and his siblings smile the entire time meant the world to us,” shared Mohammed’s mom. “Mohammed’s favorite part had to be the rides. The Dream Village was so beautiful, and our kids loved the pool so much they would have slept in it if they could, their little fish! We are forever grateful to everyone who made this opportunity possible.”

The Sunshine Foundation is dedicated to answering the dreams of children living with lifelong severe chronic illnesses and conditions. Unlike some other wish-granting organizations that require a life-threatening or critical diagnosis, the Sunshine Foundation steps in to help children with conditions such as spina bifida, cerebral palsy, Level 3 severe autism, Down syndrome, hydrocephalus, severe epilepsy, Sickle Cell Disease, blindness, deafness, and trauma from abuse, among many others.
Mohammed’s “Dream Come True” was made possible by a generous family foundation, highlighting the vital role of donations in fulfilling these cherished experiences. The Sunshine Foundation relies on the generosity of individuals, organizations, and corporations to make these dreams a reality.
The most common request fulfilled by the Sunshine Foundation is a “Magical Dream” to visit iconic Central Florida theme parks like Legoland, Universal Studios, Disney World, and SeaWorld, often including a stay at the Sunshine Foundation Dream Village located near Disney.
