Old Bight Beach, Cat Island, The Bahamas
Cat Island remains one of the Caribbean’s quietest corners, and Old Bight Beach captures that better than anywhere. The sand curves in a long arc, bright and clean, with water that stays calm and shallow close to shore.
There’s very little built along this stretch. A few houses set back, some fishing boats pulled up on the sand, and long sections with nothing at all. You can walk for miles and see almost no one, especially during the week. The rhythm here is simple: water, sand, sky, repeated over and over without interruption.
