Qatar Airways’ Airbus A320 aircraft, registered A7-AHT, departed Belgrade this morning after spending more than a month grounded at Nikola Tesla Airport. The aircraft had arrived on its scheduled service from Doha on February 28 but was unable to return due to the outbreak of war in the Middle East. The airline opted to keep the jet in Belgrade over the past four weeks, as it did with a number of other aircraft at outstations.
In recent days, Qatar Airways has begun repositioning aircraft back to Doha as it gradually ramps up operations under a temporary schedule running until April 15. The fourteen-year-old A320 departed the Serbian capital this morning. Two weeks earlier, the airline had also repatriated its crew, who had been stranded in Belgrade since the start of the conflict.
