BEIJING— China Southern Airlines (CZ) has launched its first nonstop route connecting Beijing Daxing International Airport (PKX) with Helsinki Airport (HEL), marking a significant expansion of direct air links between China and Northern Europe.
The inaugural flight departed on March 29, 2026, establishing a new long-haul corridor between the two capitals.
The new service strengthens connectivity between Beijing and Helsinki, while also enhancing transfer options for passengers across both regions. China Southern aims to use this route to expand its European footprint and improve access to Nordic destinations through a single stop in Beijing.
China Southern Beijing to Helsinki Flight
China Southern will operate the Beijing–Helsinki route three times per week during its initial phase. The airline plans to increase frequency starting June 2026, depending on demand and seasonal travel patterns.
The route represents the first direct European service from Beijing Daxing International Airport, which continues to grow as a major international hub. By launching this route, the airline strengthens the airport’s role in long-haul connectivity and diversifies its international network.
