Who are Lucinda Light and Andie Thompson?

Lucinda and Andie captured the hearts of Australia as brides in Season 11 of Married At First Sight in 2024.

While Lucinda and Andie didn’t find love with their respective on-screen husbands Timothy Smith and Richard Sauerman they instead found friendship with each other.

Since their stint on MAFS Lucinda released her debut book, Shine Your Light, and toured the UK and Australia with her sold-out stage show.

While Lucinda is no stranger to being on screen she admitted that she was a little nervous ahead of her Travel Guides stint.

“Stepping into such a loved, established show was a little nerve-tingling… but we were met with such warmth and open arms,” Lucinda wrote in a social media post.

“We only pop into one episode for the season — but ohhh, what a ride. Two lush weeks for one episode…endless laughs, and pure joy with this goddess by my side. We lived it… hope you feel it.”

In the comment section Andie said: “Such a special two weeks together with a bunch of legends and new friends. Can’t wait to have a giggle at our antics!!!”

While long-time travellers Karly and Bri left some words of encouragement: “Cannot wait to see what you two beautiful souls got up too.”

What will the Travel Guides get up to in Ireland?

Their jam-packed itinerary starts with a drink and a dance in the capital, Dublin, before road-tripping cross-country to the wonderfully wild and windswept Cliffs of Moher on Ireland’s West Coast.

They’ll dive into Galway to try their hand at the traditional Gaelic sport of hurling. Then they’re off to an authentic sheep farm before things get truly bonkers, with the most terrifying cliffside activity imaginable, something the locals call “coasteering”.

From there our guides head to Belfast in Northern Ireland, the city known as the birthplace of the Titanic and the fascinating home of the political and religious conflict known as the Troubles.

With more laughs and surprises in store, this great Ireland adventure promises to be a cracking good road trip, to be sure, to be sure.

In new episodes that will air later in 2026, sisters Eliza and Liberty Paschke from The Block and mates Callum Hole and Mitch Hibberd from Love Island Australia and country music duo Brooke McClymont and Adam Eckersley are more familiar faces that will join.

It’s not just the celebs tagging along for the ride, best friends Tash and Meryl, and Brisbane mums Nicky and Connie are also grabbing their passports.
