We can all list facts about our favorite wrestlers, matches, and feuds, but pro wrestling strives to make us feel something. Which is why our first recollections and most prized memories from wrestling are moments more than angles. WrestleMania was built on them from the beginning, and everyone has a favorite.

I’ve written about the connection I’ve always felt with the late Eddie Guerrero a couple times in my tenure here at Cageside, including when I named his WWE title win at WrestleMania XX as my favorite WrestleMania match of all-time (we’ll have that conversation later this weekend). Unsurprisingly, even though the overall night has a cloud over it that keeps me from considering his show-closing celebration, I have to go with his victory as my favorite moment.
