Three historic cultural heritage sites from Sindh have been included in the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization’s (UNESCO) tentative list.
The sites include Kot Diji Fort, Naukot Fort, and Umerkot Fort.
Sindh Minister for Culture, Tourism and Antiquities Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah welcomed the inclusion, terming it a major achievement for the province.
He said the recognition will play an important role in highlighting Sindh’s rich cultural and historical heritage at the global level and boosting cultural tourism in the region.
