The Telegraph has picked 40 of the best days out in the UK and compiled a list, suggesting places to go across the UK, now that schools are breaking up for the summer.

Blackpool Pleasure Beach was one of two attractions highlighted for the north west, alongside Tatton Park in Knutsford, Cheshire.

Blackpool Pleasure Beach named among best UK attractions

The newspaper said: “Launch Pad is newly reopened for 2025, a stomach-churning vertical ascent of 210ft at 80mph, followed by an equally hair-raising descent.

“If this ride sounds too much, NickelodeonLand provides gentler themed fun.”

Tickets cost from £39 for adults and £34 for children aged 11 years and under, according to The Telegraph.

Blackpool Pleasure Beach has been a popular spot for families in Lancashire and beyond for years with new rides and attractions being added and adapted regularly.

More than 34,000 reviews have been left on Google Reviews with visitors sharing their experiences at the attraction.

One thrill seeker commented: “Had an amazing time when we visited on a Friday. It was just before the school holidays, so there were a lot of school trips, but we’re well handled throughout the park.

“Queue times were long so we bought the VIP Speedy Pass. This was worth every penny. the booking system was fantastic on the app were you booked the time then went through the speedy lane.”

Another visitor said: “Amazing experience, we chose a weekday to visit and the queues weren’t bad at all. Loved the roller coasters, especially Revolution🀩 The staff and operators are super sweet and helpful. Would definitely recommend a visit!!”

“The park was busy, but we didn’t have to queue for too long anywhere. Stayed at the Big Blue and were able to enter quickly in the morning and ride the train back to the hotel at the end of the day. Everywhere was looking clean and tidy. Well worth a visit.”
