Cinderella’s evil stepmother, Lady Tremaine, and her stepsisters, Anastasia and Drizella, are also out looking to torment passersby.

And the Pumpkin King, Jack Skellington, and his crew have returned for their annual takeover at Disneyland.

Some of Disney’s popular villains have reappeared at the Disneyland Resort for photo ops or evil candid conversations with visitors.

It’s that time of year at Disneyland Resort.

Halloween Time has transformed the resort’s 70th anniversary décor into orange, black and purple.

Running through Oct. 31, the Halloween season features the return of the giant Mickey Mouse pumpkin on Main Street, U.S.A., Jack Skellington and his crew at the Haunted Mansion Holiday.

Over at Disney California Adventure, Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween, Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree and Guardians of the Galaxy — Monsters After Dark have been transformed into their seasonal overlay. There are several events planned at Plaza de la Familia at the Paradise Gardens honoring Día de los Muertos featuring “Coco’s” Miguel, live entertainment, colorful decorations, family activities and a curated menu of Mexican cuisine through Nov. 2.

Mickey and the rest of the Disney gang will show off their new Halloween costumes during a Mickey & Friends Halloween Cavalcade. At night, the “Halloween Screams” fireworks show will light up the night.

Although it’s summer, Halloween continues to be one of the more popular seasonal events for theme parks. Universal Studios Hollywood has Halloween Horror night, Legoland has Brick-or-Treat and Knott’s Berry Farm transforms into Knott’s Scary Farm.

This year, Disney’s separate ticketed nighttime Halloween event, Oogie Boogie Bash, has already sold out.

This year, Disney officials said they have 60 new themed food and beverage offerings, including a Monster Funnel Cake, an Oogie Boogie burrito and a fried elote corn on the cob.
