New mystical tour through the Alton Towers’ towers
Thrill-seekers can eagerly await a new experience at the Alton Towers resort, but hurry – tickets are limited!
From October 2, Alton Towers Resort will kick off a new mystical tour dedicated to the resort’s famous towers, which will take place as part of the annual Scarefest event.
Alton Towers launches a new mystical tour this autumn
Visitors will be able to enter a Grade II listed building while trying to spot paranormal phenomena
The VIP mystical tour will allow guests to explore towers associated with recent ghost stories. For 90 minutes, participants will be guided in the search for ghosts through the ruins of towers equipped with modern technologies to detect paranormal phenomena.
“The towers have always been the heart of Alton Towers Resort, and now guests can uncover the horrifying stories hidden within their walls,’ says Bianca Sammut, Vice President of Alton Towers Resort.
During the tour, attendees will have the opportunity to hear terrifying testimonies from guides and even participate in a séance.
These towers once belonged to the Talbot family, the Earls of Shrewsbury, from 1412 to 1924, who built this Gothic residence. Over Time, part of the building fell into ruin, and items from it were auctioned off.
More horror and fun
For those craving even more adventure, a VIP behind-the-scenes tour of the spooky Compound maze is also offered, where visitors will have the chance to walk through the attraction with the lights on.
During the tour, guides will unveil the story behind the attraction, the creative processes, and technologies used, as well as hypnotize visitors with the scents from various parts of the maze, such as sterile hospitals and blood.
This VIP tour also includes a live experience in the horror maze and a VIP badge.
Last week, the amusement park also announced two new attractions – the Edge of the Forest maze and the Dark Hollow horror zone.
Tickets for the VIP Ghost Tour experience and behind-the-scenes access in the Compound start from £55 per person. Scarefest will run from September 27 to November 2, with “days and nights of horror” starting from £34 per person.
The event will take place alongside Scarefest in the park, where visitors can explore various horror mazes
There is also a new behind-the-scenes tour in the Compound maze
Tickets include access to attractions such as The Smiler, Nemesis Reborn, and Toxicator until 9:00 PM, as well as a range of terrifying attractions.
Among other experiences is the attraction The Curse at Alton Manor, which is the resort’s most immersive dark ride, following the story of Emily Alton, a Victorian child with a terrifying secret.
Visitors will also be able to enjoy Trick O’Treat Town, where children over six can knock on doors along Spooky Avenue and Witchy Woods, getting both tricks and treats.
Don’t forget about Amigos in the Afterlife, where visitors can celebrate Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) with a portal to the other side.
