Tourism Minister Olga Kefalogianni emphasized to the AMNA news agency that Greece as a destination guarantees the safety and equality of all its visitors.
“Greece does not tolerate discrimination, nor does it tolerate behavior that dishonors anyone. It is and will remain a safe, welcoming and open destination for Israeli citizens,” she said in response to recent incidents of antisemitism.
“Tourism is a bridge of friendship, peace and mutual understanding. The Ministry of Tourism is working closely with all relevant ministries to ensure that every visitor, regardless of gender, origin, or religious belief, enjoys safety and respect. Antisemitism, in any form, is repulsive, utterly reprehensible, and has no place in tourism or in our democracy. Respect and hospitality are our non-negotiable values,” Kefalogianni said.
