The firm confirmed its intention to build a new UK destination at Kempston Hardwick, near Bedford, in April.

In its trademark application, Universal said the name was tied to amusement park services and hotels.

The trademark can also be used on various items such as books, bags, clothing, toys and much more.

Until now, it was unclear whether the name would include Bedford, England or Europe.

Some parks like Universal Beijing Resort use the city name, while others like Universal Studios Japan use the country.

In August, Universal also applied to use “Universal Studios Grand Hotel” in connection with entertainment services, hotels and restaurants.
