GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV) – Every second, roughly seven tires will go flat. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports that approximately 11,000 tire-related crashes occur in the United States annually.

In 2022, there were 563 fatalities. Tire blowouts are more likely to occur on highways and interstates, where vehicles travel at higher speeds.
