I know summer vacations are always going to be popular, but truthfully, fall getaways are my favorite. I welcome the cooler temperatures, color explosions, and most importantly, fewer bugs. Now that we are on the cusp of autumn, we thought we’d send a little travel inspiration your way and feature a few cozy cabins in Tennessee that are perfect for fall.

1. Ridgetop Cabin in Old Fort

This brand-new cabin in Old Fort, Tennessee, is just the ticket to a relaxing weekend surrounded by beautiful fall colors. The studio-style treehouse boasts some truly mesmerizing views, and we love the hot tub for those chilly fall evenings! Guests also have access to an observation tower, a community fire pit, and private hiking trails. Lake Ocoee is less than 20 minutes away, and the Ocoee Scenic Byway is a no-brainer if you’re this close. This scenic road really pops in the fall!

2. Mountainview Cabin in Sevierville

This one-bedroom, one-bathroom cabin in Sevierville is the ultimate couple’s retreat. Kick back and relax in the hot tub and enjoy the long-range views, warm up by the wood-burning fireplace, or just snuggle up to your favorite person while watching your favorite television show on the outdoor TV. The cabin is about 25 minutes from Smoky Mountain National Park, which is easily one of the best places to see the fall foliage in Tennessee.

3. A-Frame in Hartford

I don’t know if you can get more cozy than this charming cabin in Hartford, Tennessee. The A-frame cabin can accommodate up to six guests, and this remote vacation rental offers a front-row seat to the Smoky Mountains. Whip up a meal on the gas grill and enjoy an alfresco dining experience, relax in the hot tub, or take in some stargazing by the fire pit in the evenings. Gatlinburg is only 30 miles away, and Pigeon Forge is just 35!

4. Log Cabin in Sevierville

This might just be the best family-friendly cabin in Tennessee. Conveniently located between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, you have Tennessee’s top attractions right at your fingertips, but we wouldn’t blame you if you never left this cozy cabin. Between the arcade games, mini golf, ping pong table, foosball table, bowling lane, fire pit, hot tub, and sauna, you’ve got plenty to keep you busy. The outdoor deck is perfectly set up for outdoor grilling, with plenty of games for the kids, and the projector can fire up any show/movie you want.

5. Lakehouse in Sharps Chapel

We’ve featured some pretty spectacular mountain cabins, but this waterfront home in Sharps Chapel might steal the show. The three-bedroom, two-bath home can accommodate up to eight guests, making it the perfect family-friendly spot for a fall getaway. The house sits right on the shores ot Norris Lake, which is just idyllic in the fall. Take advantage of the private dock and do a little stargazing at night, or bring your own water toys and spend your days on the lake!
