Adventure Island in Southend hosted 500 members of the Armed Forces community, in partnership with SSAFA, the UK’s oldest Armed Forces charity.
Michelle and Elaine from SSAFA’s Serving Community Teams joined guests for the event, which was supported by long-time charity partner Adventure Island.
Philip Miller MBE, executive chairman of Stockvale Group, said: “We’re incredibly proud to support SSAFA and host days like today.
“They do vital work supporting the UK’s Armed Forces – serving men and women, veterans, and their families or dependants – and it’s a cause that resonates deeply with us as a company.
“With my father having served in No. 6 Commando in the Second World War, this is a cause that holds deep personal meaning for me.
“We’ve had a long relationship with SSAFA and it’s always a privilege to give something back to those who’ve given so much for our country.”
