Meon Boscage, a four-bedroom retreat in Meonstoke, was named Best in South Coast England and Isle of Wight at the 2025 Sykes Gems Awards, organised by staycation specialist Sykes Holiday Cottages.
The property, owned by Jackie Dredge, has welcomed guests for just three years but has already built a strong reputation for its high standards and warm hospitality.
Jackie said: “We are very proud to have Meon Boscage recognised with this award.
“Holiday letting has been such a rewarding journey for us, especially seeing guests return year after year.
“Creating a place where people can relax and enjoy the beautiful Hampshire countryside has been our goal, and it’s great to see that effort acknowledged.
“We feel very lucky to share our home and the gardens, arboretum and stream around it with visitors, and we take real joy in helping them make lasting memories here.”
Set within four acres of gardens in the Hampshire countryside, Meon Boscage offers an off-grid, eco-friendly escape with an emphasis on sustainability.
The property includes an arboretum and a stretch of the River Meon, with a deck overlooking the water and regular sightings of deer, foxes, owls, and kingfishers.
Jackie and her husband Andy previously owned a holiday home in Normandy before focusing on the South Downs, bringing experience and a passion for hospitality to their Hampshire property.
The Sykes Gems Awards, launched in 2017, celebrate excellence across the UK’s holiday let sector.
Properties are judged by a panel of industry experts, including Sykes’ chief commercial officer, James Shaw and The Sun’s assistant travel editor, Sophie Swietochowski.
Judging criteria include owner submissions, guest feedback, occupancy rates, and amenities.
Meon Boscage was praised for its style, comfort, cleanliness, value for money, and facilities.
Mr Shaw said: “Now in its eighth year, it’s wonderful to see so many outstanding properties celebrated in our 2025 Sykes Gems Awards.
“Our owners put an incredible amount of effort into maintaining high standards at their properties throughout the year, and these awards are a great way to recognise that dedication.
“With so many fantastic entries, it was tough to narrow it down, but Meon Boscage stood out as a clear winner.”
