The City Traffic Police (CTP) Rawalpindi has announced that traffic across the city is flowing smoothly despite the ongoing Test match between Pakistan and South Africa. According to the latest update issued at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 20, all major roads in Rawalpindi are open and operating as per routine.
However, authorities have temporarily closed Stadium Road (from Double Road to 9th Avenue) for all types of traffic until the conclusion of the match to ensure the smooth movement of teams and security officials.
Traffic wardens have been deployed at key intersections to assist commuters and manage alternative routes. The CTP has requested citizens to cooperate with traffic officers and follow diversion signs to avoid congestion around the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium area.
Officials said the department is actively monitoring road conditions and will continue to provide real-time traffic updates through CTP FM Radio 88.6 and the official social media handles of Rawalpindi Traffic Police.
