The BoostHero is an all-in-one tool that is the size of a simple flashlight and does so much to keep your car working, so you can travel with a peace of mind. The simple, portable device – which comes in black, red, blue, pink, lavender, and white, so you can customize it to your own style — functions primarily as a car jump starter, helping you start your car battery if it dies in the middle of a trip.
Beyond jumpstarting your car, the BoostHero also helps in emergencies as a four-mode LED flashlight with a variety of settings and intensities. Plus, it functions as a power bank that can charge up your devices in a pinch.
I got a BoostHero before embarking on a seven-day road trip, and can testify that having the fully charged device in my car gave me peace of mind on the trip, especially for those long stretches of road where gas stations were few and far between. The flashlight was incredibly useful for our camping nights and we used the portable charger for cell phones overnight, too.
The only downside was that I had hoped the device would come with a solar panel charger so that it was more self-sufficient and didn’t need to be charged beforehand.
