This summer, in honor of the park’s 50th anniversary, Busch Gardens Williamsburg is holding a giveaway sweepstakes with a grand prize of a $50,000 check for one lucky winner.

The promotional sweepstakes, which began on July 28th and will last until September 14th, with entry into the giveaway only requiring you to purchase admission to the park and fill out a short registration form!

How to register for the $50,000 sweepstakes

There are two official ways that you can enter the sweepstakes for a chance to win the $50,000 grand prize:

• Purchase at least one entry for Busch Gardens Williamsburg, such as a single or multi-day ticket, a Fun Card, or even a park membership during the promotion period and register just once for the sweepstakes online.
  • Entry ticket, Fun Card, or membership barcode must be scanned at the park during the promotion period for each entry.
• Enter by mail (Does not require a purchase or park visit)
  • Print your name, address, phone number, email address, and date of birth on a piece of paper and mail it in an envelope with proper postage to “Busch Gardens Williamsburg 50th Anniversary Sweepstakes,” c/o Merkle Inc., P.O. Box 5025, Department 867431, Kalamazoo, MI 49003-5025.

Official rules for the sweepstakes

The full list of official rules for the giveaway sweepstakes can be found on the Busch Gardens website, but here are some of the most crucial rules to consider:

• Participants make up to 100 entries into the sweepstakes using any combination of entry methods; however, multiple entrants are not permitted to share the same address, and exceeding the 100-entry limit will result in automatic disqualification.
• Visiting the park and scanning an entry on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday during the promotion period will count as two entries (subject to entry limits), while visits on Friday through Monday only count as one entry.
• Entering the sweepstakes by mail counts as two entries, but there can only be one entry request per envelope.
  • All mailed entries must be sent by September 15th and received by September 22nd.
• Participants in the sweepstakes must be at least 18 years old at the time of entry and be a legal resident of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia.

How is a winner going to be selected?

The prize drawing will be selected randomly from the total pool of entrants on or around September 29th, 2025.

The potential winner will be notified via email directly and subsequently required to sign several documents within five days of being notified to claim their prize.

If the potential winner who was initially chosen fails to respond or does not submit the required forms, they will forfeit their prize, and another winner will be selected at random.

In the unlikely event that three selected winners fail to claim the prize in a row, the prize will remain un-rewarded and there will be no winner.
