Costa Cruises has opened sales for its 2026-2027 season in South America, which will feature the Costa Diadema and the Costa Serena.
According to a press release, the ships will serve national markets in the region between November 2026 and April 2027.
The deployment includes three- to nine-night itineraries departing from Santos, Itajaí and Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, as well as Buenos Aires in Argentina and Montevideo in Uruguay.
“Brazil and South America are priority and strategic markets for Costa, and the confirmation of two iconic ships for the 2026-2027 season reinforces our long-term commitment,” said Dario Rustico, Costa’s executive president for the Americas.
“In addition to a robust offer for the classic destinations most requested by our guests, the arrival of the Costa Serena, a completely reimagined ship, guarantees an authentic travel experience,” he added.
The Costa Diadema will kick off the season on Nov. 26, 2026, offering three- and four-night mini-cruises from Santos and Itajaí to Ilhabela.
Starting on Dec. 20, 2026, the 2014-built vessel will offer seven-night itineraries to Argentina and Uruguay that sail to Buenos Aires and Montevideo.
The Costa Serena will start its season in South America on Dec. 22, 2026, following a 65-night voyage from Tokyo to Buenos Aires.
Marking its first deployment in the region in over ten years, the 2007-built vessel will offer three- to nine-night cruises departing from Buenos Aires and Montevideo.
Guests will also be able to board the vessel in Rio de Janeiro for itineraries that sail to Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay.
The ship’s schedule features visits to a wide range of destinations in the region, including Punta del Este, Ilhabela, and Balneário Camboriú.
Costa noted that the Costa Serena is now offering new features after undergoing a major revitalization earlier this year in Asia.
The company also announced that both vessels will offer repositioning voyages to Europe at the end of their seasons, including a 26-night trans-Atlantic crossing onboard the Costa Diadema that sails from Santos to Kiel starting on April 5, 2027.
