Guests who boarded the Disney Adventure for a four-night Singapore cruise on May 7th received an unexpected and disappointing update: the voyage would not be proceeding as planned. Approximately 24 hours after boarding, with the ship still docked at Marina Bay Cruise Terminal, guests were informed of the cancellation and asked to begin preparing for disembarkation.

No specific reason for the cancellation was given to guests beyond a general statement about guest safety and comfort being the cruise line’s “highest priority.” Disney Cruise Line has not issued an official public explanation, and it remains unclear whether future sailings will be affected.

What Guests Are Receiving

Despite the abrupt disruption, Disney Cruise Line outlined a compensation package for affected guests. Those impacted will receive:

  • A full 100% refund of their cruise fare and any unused onboard services, such as internet or beverage packages
  • A future cruise credit worth 50% off a Disney cruise
  • Complimentary Wi-Fi aboard the ship to help make travel arrangements

To ease the transition, the cruise line also arranged complimentary hotel accommodations at the JW Marriott Singapore South Beach for the evening, complimentary shuttle transportation from the terminal to the hotel, assistance with flight change fees, and up to $500 USD per stateroom for additional incidentals.

Subject: Important Update Regarding Your Disney Adventure Experience

Dear Guest,

Thank you for joining us aboard the Disney Adventure. We are truly sorry to let you know that we are unable to proceed with your Disney Adventure experience from May 7-11, 2026 as planned. We fully understand how upsetting and disappointing this news is, and we realize this is not the experience you were looking forward to.

Please know how much we appreciate your patience and understanding. Your safety and comfort as our guests are always our highest priority, and every decision has been made with you in mind. Our team is fully committed to supporting you and making this transition as smooth as possible under the circumstances.

Refunds

In light of this situation, the following will be provided to you automatically:

  • A 100% refund of your cruise fare and any unused services (internet, beverage packages, etc.)
  • 50% off a future Disney cruise*
  • Complimentary Wi-Fi access

To assist with your return home, we will also be providing a pre-arranged, complimentary hotel room at JW Marriott Singapore South Beach this evening and will cover potential associated flight change fees, as well as up to US$500 per stateroom for other incidentals. Additional details and instructions for the claim process will be shared in the near future.

Immediate Next Steps Onboard

We understand this is disappointing. We ask that you please begin preparing your personal belongings and luggage. Luggage tags will also be delivered to your stateroom shortly.

Disembarkation will take place in groups, announced according to your luggage tag character.

Accommodation and Travel Support

If your flight is scheduled for later this week, we recommend contacting your airline or travel provider to explore earlier travel options.

Complimentary Wi-Fi is now available for all guests to help you make these arrangements.

We are also arranging complimentary shuttle transportation from the terminal to the designated hotel.

Once again, we offer our heartfelt apologies for this unexpected situation and thank you for your patience, understanding, and cooperation. While we are deeply disappointed not to complete this voyage with you, we sincerely hope to welcome you aboard a future Disney Adventure sailing.
