According to a report published by Booking.com in July 2025, intergenerational travel is gaining popularity across the Asia-Pacific region. Some 43 per cent of respondents said that travelling with family provides a chance to bond and create memories, while 39 per cent described it as a rare opportunity to spend quality time together. In Vietnam, 52 per cent of respondents expressed joy at connecting with loved ones through shared travel experiences.

The report also indicates that middle-aged travellers often use such holidays to enjoy time with their children and grandchildren. Younger travellers, meanwhile, can engage in a range of activities suitable for all ages, enhancing family connections.
