Emperor Kuzco’s dream of building Kuzcotopia, a tropical tribute to himself, will come true on Aug. 30, 2025. That’s the night Typhoon Lagoon at Walt Disney World near Orlando, Fla., will host D23 Kuzcotopia Night, a one-night-only, after-hours event.

D23 Kuzcotopia Night is exclusive to attendees of Destination D23: A Journey Around the Worlds of Disney, a weekend-long convention. Kuzcotopia admission is included with the weekend for all Destination D23 guests. Destination D23 is sold out.

Among the night’s programming will be a tribute to Disney water parks through th eyears and the opportunity to play Exotic Bird Bingo, just like Kronk and the Junior Woodchucks. Water slides and attraction of Typhoon Lagoon will also be open.

D23 also promises “character experiences” at Kuzcotopia, but didn’t say specifically if characters from “The Emperor’s New Groove” will be in attendance. If they show up, the characters will be a huge deal. Walk-around characters of Kuzco (both as an emperor and a llama), Yzma, and Kronk all exist and are semi-common at Disneyland Paris, but haven’t appeared stateside in recent memory. It may have been since the early 2000s that these characters appeared at Walt Disney World.
