AGAWAM, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) – An update from Six Flags New England Monday as the theme park now says its newest roller coaster will not be opening this summer as previously planned.

Announced last year, the Quantum Accelerator will measure over 2,600 ft in length and have 11 moments of airtime.

Riders will get onto a hover-bike vehicle and straddle the seat, grip handlebars, and lean forward.

Six Flags announcing Monday on Facebook they were pushing back the attractions opening saying in part:

“When it comes to debuting world-class attractions for our guests, we won’t rush the process. Therefore, we are moving the debut of Quantum Accelerator to 2026.”

The new debut date is set for some time next year.
