The Norwegian Sun recently arrived at a shipyard in Singapore for a routine drydock.
Concluding a winter season in Southeast Asia and the Far East, the 2,000-passenger ship arrived at the shipyard on April 2, 2026. The work scope is said to include regular upkeep and class work.
Following its 11-day drydock, the Norwegian Sun is scheduled to welcome guests back in Singapore on April 13, 2026.
Sailing to Port Louis, the ship is set to offer a 16-night repositioning voyage to the Indian Ocean and Africa.
The itinerary features visits to destinations in Thailand, the Maldives, Seychelles and Madagascar before arriving at its final destination in Mauritius.
The 2001-built ship is then scheduled to offer an 11-night cruise to Madagascar, Réunion and South Africa.
In early May, the vessel sails from Cape Town to Southampton as part of a 22-night itinerary that features visits to a series of destinations in West Africa.
The cruise is highlighted by less-visited ports of call, such as Takoradi in Ghana, Abidjan in Ivory Coast and Luanda in Angola.
Upon arriving in the United Kingdom in early June, the Norwegian Sun kicks off a summer season in Northern Europe.
The ship is then set to reposition to North America in mid-October, offering a trans-Atlantic voyage to New York City before arriving in Miami for the winter.
Acquired by Cordelia Cruises in 2025, the vessel is scheduled to leave Norwegian Cruise Line’s fleet in late 2027 after an additional summer season in Europe.
Renamed Cordelia Sun, the ship will offer domestic cruising in India along with its sister ship, the Norwegian Sky, which was also acquired by the brand.
