PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — A Portland couple just returned from 7,000+-mile cross-country journey from North Carolina to Oregon on the TransAmerica Trail. This rural route involved more than 3,100 miles of dirt and gravel, taking 29 days in total.

Husband and wife Andy and Mercedes Lilienthal joined ARC PDX this morning to talk about their grand expedition and their favorite stops along the way.
