Royal Caribbean International is updating the itinerary of a future cruise onboard the Symphony of the Seas due to safe speed restrictions.

According to a statement sent to booked guests, the change affects the sailing scheduled to depart from PortMiami on February 15, 2026.

“As part of our ongoing itinerary planning process, we’ve modified our upcoming sailing. To maintain smooth sailing and comply with safe speed restrictions during our cruise, we’ve adjusted our departure time from Nassau,” the company said.

While the remainder of the itinerary will remain the same, the Symphony of the Seas is now scheduled to depart from the Bahamas port at 4:30 PM instead of 6:00 PM.

Royal Caribbean added that its shore excursion team will automatically reschedule any pre-paid shore excursions booked through the company that are affected by the change.

“Any tour that can’t be reaccommodated will be cancelled and refunded to your original form of payment within 14 business days,” the company added.

Royal Caribbean also said that shore excursions are available for booking via the “My Royal Cruise” webpage and app.

Offering a seven-night cruise to the Eastern Caribbean, the Symphony of the Seas is also scheduled to visit St. Maarten and St. Thomas.

In addition to Nassau, the itinerary features visits to Philipsburg and Charlotte Amalie, as well as three full days of cruising.

“We’re sorry for the inconvenience this may cause,” Royal Caribbean added in the statement, which is signed by the company’s AVP of Guest Experiences, Aurora Yera-Rodriguez.

Sailing from PortMiami for the winter, the Symphony of the Seas is currently offering a series of weeklong cruises to the Caribbean and the Bahamas.

In early May, the Oasis-class vessel is set to reposition to Galveston for year-round sailings to the Western Caribbean and Mexico.
