The incident occurred as the Airbus aircraft operating Flight TK1853 was approaching Barcelona.
According to Turkish Airlines Communications Director Yahya Ustun, the flight crew followed established aviation security protocols and completed a controlled landing at Barcelona El Prat Airport.
