New passenger and cargo air links between Uzbekistan and Pakistan are set to begin as part of efforts to expand connectivity between the two countries.

Uzbekistan’s Centrum Air and My Freighter will introduce new services, including regular passenger flights and dedicated cargo operations. Starting March 30, 2026, Centrum Air will begin nonstop flights between Tashkent and Lahore.

The airline will operate the route twice weekly using Airbus A320 aircraft. Meanwhile, My Freighter will launch cargo operations to Karachi, strengthening freight movement between the two countries.

The expansion follows high-level discussions on enhancing bilateral ties. During a recent visit to Pakistan, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev underscored the importance of establishing direct air connectivity to boost trade, tourism, and people-to-people links.

According to officials, the new routes aim to facilitate business travel, improve logistics channels, and support growing commercial exchange between Uzbekistan and Pakistan.

Abdulaziz Abdurakhmanov, Founder and CEO of Centrum Holding, said the launch of new routes represents more than a geographic expansion, describing it as the creation of a sustainable air bridge that supports regional cooperation and economic activity.
