In an interview on Abu Dhabi TV on February 28, senior officials said the country’s integrated national system has been activated at the highest level of readiness, with enhanced precautionary measures and round-the-clock monitoring in place.

He added: “The UAE has a comprehensive security infrastructure designed to ensure the continuity of normal life and protect everyone living in the country, both citizens and residents.”
The same question was asked to Dr Saif Al Dhaheri, official spokesperson for the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA), who said there is no reason to worry.
“The UAE, with its agencies and institutions, is resilient and capable of dealing with all types of repercussions and threats, including those that may be new to many people,” he said.
He added that as long as there is a clear operational framework that prioritises community safety, the country has the capacity to manage the impact of any threat.
“We are doing well, and our field teams are ready,” he said, noting that the rapid handling of misinformation and the provision of timely updates reflect the country’s transparency, integrity, and high level of professionalism.
UAE authorities have reassured residents that the situation remains fully under control following a recent attack, stressing that the country’s security and emergency systems are operating at the highest level of readiness and that there are no indicators for concern.
Asked to summarise what had happened, Dr Saif Al Dhaheri said the priority was to reassure the public.
“We want to reassure everyone that the situation is under control. The UAE is safe thanks to its leadership, security forces, and institutions,” he said.
He explained that the country operates through an integrated system capable of dealing with various types of risks, noting that multiple mechanisms are in place to manage emergencies.
“Committees and task forces have been working since Saturday morning to develop comprehensive solutions to deal with the repercussions resulting from the attack,” he added.
Security situation under full control
When asked to assess the current security situation, Brigadier General Abdulaziz Al Ahmad confirmed that the situation is under complete control.
He said the UAE operates under a proactive security doctrine based on preparedness, with the Ministry of Interior and its field partners at the highest level of readiness to deal with any developments.
“Incidents were handled immediately as they occurred,” he said.
Enhanced precautionary measures
Asked about precautionary steps taken to ensure maximum preparedness, Al Ahmad said several measures have been strengthened in response to the situation.
These include full security readiness, increased deployment in vital areas, activation of all operations rooms at the national and federal levels around the clock, and intensified monitoring and rapid response systems.
Coordination between the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Defence has also been enhanced to support information exchange and address such incidents.
Strict action against rumours
Addressing misinformation, officials said the Ministry of Interior follows a clear, proactive, and firm approach toward those who spread rumours.
This includes tracking and monitoring individuals responsible and referring them to the relevant authorities, with action taken immediately and transparently.
The Brigadier General also called on the public to strengthen awareness and responsibility, adhere to official instructions, and obtain information only from trusted and official sources.
