I also had an upcoming half-marathon race in Satara, so I had anyway planned to go there by road in my Mahindra XUV700.
BHPian abirnale recently shared this with other enthusiasts:
My daughter wanted to witness the Ganesha Visarjan procession that takes place in Mumbai or Pune. Sensing the holidays and the event being on the weekend, we hatched a plan – left BLR on Thursday noon – in time to do some pandal hopping and finally enjoy the visarjan procession.
I also had a half-marathon race coming up on the subsequent weekend at Satara – had planned to go there by road anyway. So I decided to send my daughter back by flight on Sunday and stay back in Pune for a week – roam around, meet some friends and extended family friends!
All in all, about 2500km trip this turned out to be with: Rajgad Trek on Wednesday, Savlya Ghat on Thursday, Devkund Trek on Friday morning, visiting Kaas Pathaar for seeing flowers on Saturday, running the half marathon race on Sunday and returning to BLR by late Sunday night! Unexpectedly busy week with Monday and Tuesday attending to some work tasks!
