An easyJet flight from Scotland to Uganda has been diverted to Crete after flight attendants were unable to subdue an unruly passenger, state ERT television said.
ERT said the plane made an unscheduled landing at Hania’s Ioannis Daskalogiannis airport on Friday afternoon to let off the passenger. Airport police detained the man who, according to ERT, strenuously resisted arrest.
The plane, which had taken off from Glasgow, promptly resumed its flight to Uganda.
