KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Halloween Haunt is set to return to Worlds of Fun in 2025 with brand-new scares and a chaperone policy.

Worlds of Fun has announced that the Halloween Haunt will return to the theme park on Sept. 13. In 2025, there will be 7 haunted mazes and several scare zones with live performers and a brand-new show. Live entertainment includes:

• Mr. Tickle’s Last Laff – guests step into a chaotic circus where a tyrannical ringmaster unleashes clowns and carnival mayhem.
• Hexed – witches cast spellbinding tunes over the crowd.
• Overlord’s Awakening – the Overlord rises and summons moonsters to transform the park into a nightmare.
• Conjure the Night – a fierce battle with rock vocals and dark rhythms.
• Haunted Homecoming – undead teens sing and dance in a rock-and-roll revue.

Beginning this year, park officials indicated that all haunted mazes will require the purchase of a Haunted Attraction pass to enter. This grants guests unlimited maze access for the entire season. Mazes include:

• Blood on the Bayou – In the French Quarter, curses, possessed souls and demons trudge through murky waters as they seek victims.
• BloodShed – At the Rivertown Butcher, the prices may not be the only thing slashed for the perfect cut.
• Lore of the Vampire – Vampires lurk under the shadow of night as they seek their next meal.
• Ripper Alley – Jack the Ripper walks the streets of London as he looks for his next unsuspecting victim.
• Zombie High – Undead students roam the halls as every class is a fight to survive.

Returning in 2025, park leaders said the family-friendly Tricks and Treats celebration will offer little ones and their families a chance to enjoy spooky activities. This event will take place between noon and 5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. Daytime activities include:

• Trick-or-Treat and Haybale Trails – little ones will be able to collect candy and meet friendly seasonal characters.
• Skelebration Dance Party – a child-friendly dance party that is set to feature spooky tunes and dancing skeletons.
• Costume Contest – the best costumes will compete for a chance to win prizes.
• The Spectral Sisters – a jazzy group that expects to perform “gallows humor” songs.
• BeanBoozled – little ones will be able to eat bizarre-flavored jellybeans.
• Patch’s Pumpkin Patch – small pumpkins, masks and Halloween crafts will be available to decorate.

Worlds of Fun noted that masks, adult costumes and full-face makeup will not be allowed. Only children 10 and under will be permitted to wear costumes – but masks will not be allowed after 6 p.m. The chaperone policy will also be in effect all day for guests 15 and under; however, this may change at the park’s discretion. Scare Zones are expected to include:

• Shadowmoor Cemetery – A rotted mausoleum that features photo opportunities, gory characters with mysteries around every corner.
• Abyss – A long-lost caravan of money-hungry scientists and treasure hunters turned sinister after they dug too deep in the African jungles.
• Outlaw’s Revenge – The dusty streets are full of happy gunslingers and a West that’s even more wild.
• CornStalkers – The haunted cornfields where the undead whisper in the dark, hiding a lurking terror.
• Pumpkin Eater – A murderous creature haunts the old woods around The Hollow.

According to park leaders, the best way to enjoy Halloween Haunt is with an MVP pass, which also unlocks unlimited visits through 2026.

Worlds of Fun noted that Halloween Haunt runs select nights between Sept. 13 and Oct. 31, starting at 6 p.m. It is recommended for guests 13 and older. To purchase tickets in advance, click HERE.
